Roger Edward Newton Gough

Practising in residential and commercial conveyancing, Wills and Probate. Roger went to Kings School in Macclesfield. He joined Wains straight from university in 1974, going on to open the new Congleton office in 1978 and still continues to represent clients in both towns.

 

 

 

Anne Mary Dickinson

Practising in family law including childcare. Anne qualified in 1982. She is a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel and is an associate member of the Law Group Family Mediation Register. Anne is a former President of the Macclesfield Law Society.

 

 

 

Kevin Worthington

Kevin qualified as a solicitor in Manchester in 2000 and joined Wains in 2008. He is a member of the Law Society Children Panel, which means he is a specialist in representing parents and children in court disputes involving social services. Having been a former member of the Law Society Family Law Panel he is equally at ease in dealing with divorce, separation and financial matters as well as domestic violence injunctions in the courts.

 

Joanne Lawson

Jo joined Wains in July 2012, after qualifying in 2004 with another local firm of solicitors and was appointed as partner in February 2015. Jo is Head of the Conveyancing department and is based at our Macclesfield Office. As well as specialising in Residential Conveyancing,  Jo also undertakes Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Landlord and Tenant, some Civil Litigation and Settlement Agreements.
Jo lives in Macclesfield with her husband and two young daughters, and having been raised in Macclesfield, has a wealth of local knowledge and experience. Jo is a student member of STEP and is also the Treasurer of the Macclesfield Law Society.

 

Ruth Massey

Practising in Commercial and Residential Conveyancing. Ruth is from Northern Ireland and qualified as a Solicitor in 1980.

 

 

 

Nicola Grainger

Nicola qualified in 2003 and joined Wains in August 2014. She advises on estate planning, wills, administration of estates, Lasting Powers of Attorney and the creation, administration and termination of trusts. Nicola is a student member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and is working towards full qualification. She also has experience in dealing with estates involving agricultural, farming and business property.

 

Patricia Farrell

Pat qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and in the early years of her career experienced a wide ranging case load including criminal, matrimonial/family, civil litigation and conveyancing. She joined us recently having worked in “The Potteries” since qualification and has specialised in residential conveyancing, wills and probate for around 20 years. Pat is experienced in all areas of residential conveyancing such as sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, auction sales and purchases, shared equity properties, council right to buy purchases and acting for lenders. She also has a wide experience in commercial transactions, wills, probate, administration of estates and lasting powers of attorney. Married with two adult daughters, Pat is approachable and client- focussed. Her hobbies include dog training, walking in the Lake District and long haul foreign travel.
